No CommentsMy name is X, I joined CFOU when I was in primary six after losing my parents and I was now the head of the family taking care of my young siblings. When I was in S2 I was given a pig which I later sold off and got goats which multiplied then sold off and bought a cow, which also multiplied.
CFOU’s interventions caused a great change to my life, we were trained in life planning skills. I was among those youths who were trained to make the energy saving stoves and after the training I helped the community to construct the energy saving stoves at a cost. Currently I am the chairperson of my area, the trainings I got from CFOU, have enabled me to be a good leader in my community. I am also a volunteer at CFOU, due to the fact that CFOU helped me I would also want to help other orphans transform in my community as a volunteer of CFOU.Iam now married with two children and also was able to construct my own house. -

My name is z, I joined CFOU under the special group of children by then, I had lost all my parents to HIV/AIDS and therefore I had also acquired from them. Life was not easy at all with all the negative criticisms and stigma from the society. At school, my fellow class mates used to isolate me that I could infect them with HIV.I had no one to run to, but I thank God for the intervention by CFOU, we were counselled by counsellors about positive living, CFOU became like family to us who had no parents they could feed us cloth us and give us gifts. They organized life planning skills for us, where we were taught different aspects of life, we were skilled in various skills like making of herbal soap. Ibecame interested in the making of herbal soap, Istated making herbal soap which I could sale off and buy some scholastic materials and also save some money as well as help my caregiver buy some home necessities. I took my education seriously despite all the criticism I got from society of how I would die any time since I was positive, I became serious with my education and completed my Diploma in Nursing and about to graduate, I was inspired to become a nurse, so that I help out other children who are born HIV positive like me. I attribute all this to CFOU, I would not have made it without CFOU.
